inclusive and disability swimming
At Winchester City Swimming Club, we are proud to provide an inclusive pathway.
Start Para
With support from Everyone Active and Swim England we offer a Start Para Swim Lesson, which is aimed at children between the ages of 6 - 12 years, who can swim a minimum of 25m and should be used alongside their current Learn to Swim programme on a Friday from 7pm - 8pm at Bar End. The aim of the session is to develop competitive swimming skills with the hope of progression into the wider club (where appropriate for each individual swimmer). For more information about this lesson or to request a trial please use this form.

Masters Inclusive
We offer a inclusive / disability specific 'Masters Inclusive' program on Monday, Thursday & Friday evenings at Bar End aimed at swimmers who are 18+ years old and looking to swim competitively (swimmers should ideally be classified or express an interest in classification and competing as a para athlete). The timetable focuses on fitness and speed as well as developing racing skills and all four strokes to a competitive standard. Where appropriate, additional sessions within our squad structure are also available. For more information about this squad or to request a trial please use this form.

Squads
Are you a para swimmer? At Winchester City Swimming Club additional needs are assessed on an individual basis and para swimmers are (with variable support) also integrated within our squad structure. We aim to make competitive swimming accessible to all. For more information or to request a trial please use this form.

*If the criteria above doesn't apply, please still contact us selecting 'Start Para' on the form so we can discuss alternatives that may be available.
