Pathway Progress and Development Camp Success for Winchester Swimmers
17 Jun 2025
Congratulations to Age Performance swimmers Keison, Dana, and Isabella, who were selected for the prestigious Regional Development Pathway following standout performances in the 200IM as the top 14-year-olds in the region. They recently attended their final pathway camp at ACS International School Cobham, where they gained valuable experience and continued their athletic development.
Meanwhile, 13-year-old swimmers from across Hampshire came together in Portsmouth for the second Hampshire Development Camp of the season. Representing Winchester, coaches Jamie Mitchell, Daniel Oakley, and Joe Silk each led their own groups, providing expert technical feedback throughout the day. Winchester swimmers Emily, Amelia, Samuel, and Maxim (selected based on their 200IM results) embraced the opportunity to train with their peers and participate in both pool sessions and focused land training, including a goal-setting workshop.
And finally, Winchester’s commitment to inclusive sport was highlighted at the Regional Para-Swimming Training and Development Day, also held at ACS Cobham. Coaches Gina and Ella attended alongside swimmer Joseph, participating in a well-rounded programme of land-based exercises and pool training focused on drills, race skills, and para-specific adaptations. It was a positive and productive experience for all involved, marking another strong step forward in our development journey.
