Contacting the Club and Committee

Any of the Club’s committee members or senior coaching staff will be happy to give you more information. You’ll find people to talk to at any of the training or lessons sessions – just come along and ask!

Role and Qualifications of Committee Members:

The committee is comprised mainly of swimmers' parents and is responsible for the day to day administration of the club. The only qualifications that are required (in abundance) are enthusiasm and some spare time. Most remain on the committee for several years providing good continuity, an annual turnover of 2 to 3 people is encouraged thus promoting new ideas and fresh parental involvement.

Team Managers:

Team Managers have undertaken training by the asa and work with the coaches before and during galas and open meets. Their responsibilities include:

Team managers will have mobile phones available to them. The purpose of these is for members to make contact in case of illness/withdrawal from Galas. They will normally only be switched on for the day of the gala.

Team Managers are able to answer many of the questions that you may have regarding galas or open meets, with the exception of entries and those which are not directly related to swimming performance and training. Contact one of the following team managers for further information and advice:

Squad Representatives:

The main role of the Squad Representative is to act as a liaison between the Squad Coaches and the members of each squad. They will hopefully answer many of the queries and questions that parents may have or if not get an answer for you:
