Competing for WCSPC
- The Club has a full and varied Competitive Diary, with club swimmers competing in The Hants Junior Cup, Hants Premier League, Hants Minor League, Gemini Trophy and the National Arena Swimming League (formerly Speedo League).
- Local inter-club galas also feature for A & B team swimmers and for those at the Novice 'fun' level. Novice/fun events are normally held at River Park Leisure Centre - these are particularly important in encouraging our young and inexperienced swimmers, but are difficult to arrange. If you wish to get involved by assisting at any of the club events please contact WCPSC .
- At the other end of the performance ladder, WCPSC will continue to strive to ensure as many swimmers as possible are given the opportunity to represent the club at County, District/Regional and National competition where podium success is the ultimate aim.
- WCPSC also have a very active and successful Masters section. In 2009 and 2007 they were the County Champions and runners up in 2008.
- To provide competition for local schools, WCPSC continues to organise and run an annual primary schools gala. At the most recent event nearly 300 swimmers from 22 schools competed.
- A very important competition available to all swimming members is the Club Championships, normally held in the Autumn. This event is open to all, irrespective of age or ability and the times achieved at this event may be used as qualifying times for entry into the County Championships.
