Rules and Guidelines

Practice and Attendance

The following guidelines are to inform parents and swimmers about the Coaches' expectations regarding training:

  1. As a general rule, the least possible interruption in the training schedule will produce the greatest amount of success. The WCPSC does however, encourage younger swimmers to participate in other activities in addition to swimming. The expectation level of the Coach to attend practices increases as the swimmer moves into he more senior squads
  2. Please make every effort to have your swimmer at training on time. Swimmers should be ready to swim 5 minutes prior to the start of their session and carry out appropriate land warm-up. (Please read the latest on pool rules)
  3. Swimmers are required to bring all equipment to all sessions, this includes a drink. It is the swimmer's responsibility to make sure these items are properly adjusted
  4. Usually there are announcements made at the start of each training session, so please be on the poolside on time
  5. If your swimmer will be out of the water over a long period of time with an illness or injury, please notify the Coach
  6. Remember to check the web site or notice boards for changes or additions to training sessions

Code of Conduct

  1. At all club functions, whether training or social, we expect all members to behave in such a way that their actions will reflect positively on the Club
  2. All members of the Club, whether parents or swimmers, continue to protect and improve the excellent reputation of WCPSC
  3. All members should make themselves fully aware of the Club Constitution (the Rules of WCPSC) and the full code of conduct. These two documents govern the conduct of all members of the club.
