All members of ASA affiliated clubs need to be registered with the ASA. There are 3 levels of registration:
- Category 1 - all swimmers of clubs that do not compete in competitions other than low level competition (Novice Galas, in-House competitions and similar. Swimmers in Lessons will be charged a fee of £10.00 for annual ASA Registration
- Category 2 - all club swimmers that compete in Galas, Open Meets and Championship Events.
- Category 3 - All Officials, Committee Members, Coaches, Teachers, Helpers and parents that wish to vote at AGM's and other type meetings.
Current Registration Fees:
- £11.40
- £29.20
- £4.20
The level of fee is set annually by the ASA (and includes a levy payable to the District and County swimming associations) and all clubs must make this payment, failure to do so will result in the club and its members being suspended from the ASA.
It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian or swimmer to ensure that the correct level of registration has been applied for. It should be noted that those swimmers that compete in 'Masters' events only need only to be registered as Category 1. 'Masters' swimmers competing in League galas and/or inter-club competitions at District Level or above will require a Category 2 registration.
Additionally all Water Polo players require a Category 2 registration.
